
Add your search terms to the box and click search.Īfter you have completed your search, you can choose to convert this search query into a Smart Group by clicking on Search Options. In the advanced search area, you will be able to choose what type of information you want to search for in the first drop down box and how you want to narrow that search term down in the second drop down.In the same search bar at the top as the simple search, you will see a button "Advanced Search." Click on it.In the reference list, there will be a paperclip icon next to the references for which EndNote was able to find PDFs.

When EndNote has completed the search, you will see a count on the left side of how many full text articles EndNote was able to retrieve. Items with that search term will appear and highlight within the reference. EndNote will then begin searching for PDFs of the selected references. Type in your search term(s) and hit enter. There is a search bar at the top of the screen. So now that you have a library full of references, how do you find the specific one you are looking for? You can locate a single reference or a group of common references by using the Quick Search Box at the top of the screen or by opening the Search Panel Exporting References from Google Scholar.
